An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a given period of time. It provides hands-on experience in a particular field or industry, where interns typically work alongside experienced professionals and may have the opportunity to learn from them.
2. I have exams, can I sign up now and start later?
Yes, those who sign up before 20th February ( when the platform goes LIVE ) can start using the platform, can create their profiles and start applying to internships and volunteering work immediately. The internships and Volunteer work will however begin from 1st April 2023.
3.What If i wish to start interning immediately.
Some opportunities require interns on an urgent basis. Once the platform goes LIVE on 20th Feb, you may start interning.
4. Who can apply for our internship?
Anyone aged between 14 and 19 years of age.
5. What are the benefits of an internship for teenagers?

At TeenInterns/ILM, we provide internships for teenagers that are either looking to explore in fields they have interest in, want to learn a skill or even careers they want to pursue. Once you sign up with us, you'll be given access to a wide range of internships you can try. 7. How long do internships usually last?
Internship lengths can vary depending on the organization and the type of internship. Once you click on an internship you are interested in, it will show you the duration of that particular internship.Typically they can last anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 months.
8. Are internships paid or unpaid?
Work Internships are paid, while others like Volunteer Work, Skilling Internships, Project Work and Masterclasses are unpaid. Payment is based on the quality of work delivered and the work ethics like punctuality, proactiveness displayed by the intern.
9. What are the requirements to be eligible for an internship?
Eligibility requirements for internships are mentioned in the description of the internship selected.For work internships, most companies ask for a sample piece of work. For Example: If you are looking to apply for a design internship, you will be required to share a poster designed by you as a sample piece of work.
10. What is the difference between skilling and work internships?
In skilling internships, the intern's main outcome is to pick up a skill ( what can you do ).
In work internships, the intern's main outcome is to use the skills they have in their work at the organisation.
Skilling internships are unpaid and anyone can apply to learn. Work internships are paid. Once you apply, you undergo a selection process with the organisation.
11.''I am just a high school student, I don't have any skills. What can I do?''
It is perfectly normal for you to not have skills at such a young age. Skilling internships are meant just for that. Start with what you are interested in. Let's say Music production. You can apply for a skilling internship in music production and pick up the skill of music production alongside a real-life music producer. With this new skill, you can next apply for a work intership at a music studio :)

The outcome of an internship is to explore your strengths and interests. There is a real possibility that you may not find it interesting on all days. Stick with it. Finish what you start.
